Awaza, Turkmenistan – 4 August 2025
The Youth Forum of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) officially kicked off today at the Youth Centre of the Awaza Conference Centre, bringing together young delegates from across 32 LLDCs.
The opening session, marked by high-level remarks and a youth “family photo,” set a vibrant and optimistic tone. Central to the day was the endorsement of the Youth Declaration: “Building Bridges for LLDC Futures”—a collective vision shaped by youth for a more inclusive and resilient future.
Afternoon sessions highlighted the achievements of the Landlinked Fellows, who were honored during an awards ceremony and exhibition. Youth entrepreneurs also took the stage to present innovative solutions aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As the Forum continues tomorrow with an Intergenerational Dialogue, all eyes are on how young voices will shape LLDC policies and contribute to the global development agenda.
