On April 14, as part of his official visit to Japan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan visited the country’s national pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
During his tour of the pavilion, President Berdimuhamedov explored the exhibits and wrote a commemorative note in the Book of Honored Guests. The event was also attended by Japan’s Minister for EXPO 2025, Yoshitaka Ito.
In his speech, the Turkmen President highlighted the importance of the international exposition in fostering international cooperation and broadening Turkmenistan’s foreign economic ties.
At the pavilion, visitors were treated to a 3D animated video presenting Turkmenistan’s cultural heritage, natural beauty, and contemporary accomplishments. The upper levels featured displays dedicated to the city of Arkadag, various government ministries and institutions, as well as samples of traditional national cuisine.
Designed and constructed by the Belli Economic Society, the pavilion stands out with its triangular architecture representing motion and progress. Its dome is decorated with motifs of traditional decorative art, and the overall appearance is inspired by the Karakum Desert’s unique landscape.
President Berdimuhamedov also took part in a special ceremony marking Turkmenistan’s National Day, held within the framework of the World Expo.
