On February 28, 2025, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan successfully hosted the International Training-Methodology Conference «Language – an Important Means of Friendly Relations» in a hybrid format. The event gathered educators, linguists, and representatives from partner higher education institutions around the world to exchange experiences on modern language teaching methodologies.
The conference aimed to improve the quality of science and education for the younger generation, aligning with the declaration of 2025 as «the International Year of Peace and Trust.» It focused on enhancing foreign language instruction in higher and secondary vocational schools in Turkmenistan through the adoption of innovative pedagogical and methodological approaches. Participants discussed organizational and methodological advancements, along with the practical implementation of global best practices in language education.
A key objective of the conference was to strengthen international cooperation in foreign language teaching by integrating new scientific methods into curricula. Experts shared their insights on the use of active and innovative teaching techniques to improve language proficiency and intercultural communication skills.
