Celebrations for Turkmenistan’s Day of Diplomatic Workers

On February 18, 2025, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted celebrations for the Day of Diplomatic Workers. The event highlighted Turkmenistan’s commitment to peace and international cooperation.

A key part of the celebration was the international scientific conference, “International Year of Peace and Trust: The Role of Diplomacy in Strengthening International Relations.” The event began with an exhibition showcasing diplomatic missions and international organizations in Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, alongside ambassadors from various countries and international representatives, attended the conference. Participants listened to a congratulatory message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, emphasizing Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy and collaboration with global organizations, especially the United Nations. Speakers, including ambassadors from the EU, Turkey, China, Malaysia, the UK, and the U.S., praised Turkmenistan’s growing diplomatic influence and the UN’s recognition of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, an initiative proposed by Turkmenistan.

At the event’s conclusion, an Address of gratitude was adopted for President Berdimuhamedov’s support of diplomatic initiatives. Distinguished diplomats received the honorary title “Master Diplomat of Turkmenistan” and certificates, while young diplomats and outstanding students were also recognized.

The celebrations concluded with a musical performance by students of the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy, adding a cultural touch to the diplomatic festivities.
