Turkmenistan to Host International Olympiads and Educational Conference

In February and March 2025, Turkmenistan will host a series of international olympiads and an educational-methodological conference at its higher educational institutions. These events are being organized as part of Turkmenistan’s Concept of Activities and Priorities for the International Year of Peace and Trust.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdiyeva, the olympiads and conference are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the 33rd anniversary of its membership in the United Nations.

On February 28, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host an international educational-methodological conference titled “Dil – hoşniýetli gatnaşyklaryň möhüm serişdesi.”

From March 10 to 15, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan will organize the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics. On March 18, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction will hold the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Strength of Materials.

These competitions and conferences will welcome students, faculty members, and scientists from Turkmenistan and various leading universities worldwide, including institutions in Russia, the USA, China, South Korea, the UAE, Austria, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Belarus, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, upon reviewing the initiative, stressed the importance of supporting young talent and expanding international cooperation in education and science. The head of state approved the initiative and instructed relevant authorities to ensure successful preparations for the events.
