Representatives from Turkmenistan’s business community are set to attend the “Middle Volga – Caspian” International Trade and Logistics Forum, scheduled for December 5-6 in Ulyanovsk, Russia. Organized by the Ulyanovsk regional government and the “Afanasiy Nikitin” Association, the forum will bring together leading logistics and transport companies across various sectors, including maritime, rail, river, road, and air transportation to Southern countries. Participants will include ship owners, port and terminal operators, as well as firms specializing in cross-border financial logistics. The event aims to strengthen trade and economic ties between Russia and Caspian region nations.
Discussions at the forum will focus on multi-modal transport logistics, trade finance solutions, and export insurance. A key topic will be the “North-South” transport corridor project, which promises to establish a direct cargo route from the Middle Volga ports to the Persian Gulf. The forum will also cover the nuances of exporting to CIS and BRICS countries.
