Turkmenistan and Germany hold discussions on strengthening economic partnership

Turkmenistan and Germany held the 10th meeting of the Turkmen-German Working Group on Economic Cooperation in Berlin, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting consisted of two sessions. In the first session, participants discussed economic opportunities in both countries, the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations, and strategies for further development.

The second session featured representatives from German business organizations and associations, who focused on specific areas of collaboration, including investments, financial and banking activities, energy, the oil and gas sector, renewable energy, environmental protection, water management, agriculture, healthcare, transportation, logistics, the transition to a green economy, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Both sides exchanged views on expanding mutually beneficial partnerships and discussed the implementation of the “Roadmap” for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, along with future steps in this direction.

On September 29, 2023, a Turkmen-German business forum was held in Berlin, attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
