Tea is one of the most popular beverage in the world. Each countries have their own tea drinking habits. This habits come from our ancients. Here are some of the countries known for their high tea consumption:

China: As the birtplace of tea, China has a rich tea culture. Tea in China is deeply rooted in culture and history. Tea has been an integral part of Chinese culture, symbolizing hospitality, respect, and social interaction. China consumes about 2.4million tons of tea annually. The average of per capita tea consumption in China is around 1.6kg per person per year.

United Kingdom: The UK is popular for its tea-drinking traditions, especially the afternoon tea time. Drinking tea in the afternoon is the most popular tea drinking habits in UK.  Tea consumption in UK is around 2kg per person per year.

Turkey: Turkey has the most higher tea consumption rates in the world.  Tea is the essential beverage for turkish people.  In Turkey tea is served in small glasses. Tea is not only kind of beverage for Turkish people, tea holds a special place in Turkish culture and society. This beverage has important part of Turkish hospitality, often served to guests in small, tulip-shaped glasses. It shows the friendship and warmth. About 3kg per person per year, making it one of the highest per capita consumers. So, it means Turkey is the 1st place to drinking a tea.
