Foreign guests visited the State historical-cultural reserve

On May 25, 2024, as part of the “International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Relations” program organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, foreign guests visited the State historical-cultural reserve which is listed as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.

The participants of the program included students and professors from universities in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Turkey, and the Russian Federation. During the visit, they explored the Old and New Nisa fortresses, which are a collection of monuments bearing the marks of ancient cultures. The guests learned about the study of the monuments of the ancient Parthian Kingdom, historical findings unearthed by archaeologists in the reserve, and the latest scientific research confirming their significance, which necessitates further exploration.

The visitors from the Republic of Turkey toured the “Nisa” State historical-cultural reserve and expressed their pride, stating “I have seen my history.” Furthermore, the guests discussed the diplomatic relations of that historical period.

The tour participants conveyed their appreciation to the President of Turkmenistan for providing ample opportunities to showcase the abilities and talents of the country’s young generation.
