The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that the Organization of Turkic States will have its 10th-anniversary summit on November 3 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. Leaders from countries that are part of the Turkic States, such as Azerbaijan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, will be present at the summit. Turkmenistan and Hungary, who are watching closely, will also join in.
The main goal of the event is to make Turkic-speaking countries work together better and improve peace and stability in the region. This is based on their shared history, culture, and language.
During a meeting in Ankara, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, expressed his belief that Turkmenistan would soon become a full member of the Organization of Turkic States.
