The other day, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was on a working visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and was awarded the Badge of Honour of the Heads of State of Central Asia. Our Hero-Arkadag said that he participated in high-level meetings with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, during which issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation in all areas were discussed. The Tajik Leader highly appreciates the work carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan. The National Leader of the Turkmen people said that the President of the neighboring country calls Ashgabat “the pearl of Central Asia,” and he sees Tajikistan as a prosperous corner of Central Asia.
In turn, the President of Tajikistan expressed confidence that the meetings and negotiations will be fruitful and wished success to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Currently, bilateral relations have reached a high level in various fields, parliamentary relations are intensifying, and rich and successful experience of cooperation has been accumulated at the level of the Government and departmental institutions. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of cultural and humanitarian dialogue. In recent years, close cultural and scientific exchanges have been established, and international consultations and forums are being held with the participation of Turkmen and Tajik delegations. Mutual cultural days, exhibitions of practical and decorative arts, and other joint events are organized. The closeness of views of the two countries on several issues of the regional and global agenda contributes to effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan within the framework of large international organizations.
During the speech of the head of state of Tajikistan, by a joint decision of the heads of state of Central Asia, friendship, goodwill, and mutual understanding were established between the states of the region.
It should be noted that the National Leader of the Turkmen people has rendered great services in strengthening security, deepening cooperation between countries in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, and developing initiatives that represent common interests in the international space.

It should be noted that the National Leader of the Turkmen people makes a huge contribution to the development of friendly relations between the countries of Central Asia, including strengthening security and stability in the region, and has ensured the sovereign and independent development of fraternal Turkmenistan for many years. As a result of the focused and constant efforts of our heroic friend, the reputation of Turkmenistan in the international space remains high. Noting the great contribution of our hero Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and strengthening the well-being of the Turkmen people, as well as the principles of openness and goodwill of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, President Emomali Rahmon said that the prosperous Turkmen people of Ashgabat today are achieving great success in all areas, noting, that this is a symbol of the level of the country.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people spoke about the “Open Door” policy, based on the principles of peacekeeping, good neighborliness, and effective cooperation at the regional and global level, and also drew attention to the Resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of the countries of Central Asia. This indicates that the countries of Central Asia have great authority in the international space and great interest has been shown in them.
