The 23rd Summit of the SCO

On 4th of July the 23rd Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was held online under the chairmanship of India. All SCO member states took part in the summit, in addition, Iran, Belarus and Mongolia were invited as observers. Turkmenistan was invited as an honored guest. The summit was also attended by the heads of delegations from a number of international organizations and associations.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part as an honored guest in the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation via videoconference. Our country regularly participates as an honored guest in the summits of the SCO at a high level.

The main document of the 23rd summit of the Council was the Delhi Declaration. Important decisions related to ensuring regional security, economic development, cultural and humanitarian exchange was adopted and discussed. Also, Iran joined the organization and became the ninth member of the interstate association.  

Since its establishment, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has been working to strengthen the good neighborliness, mutual trust and cooperative development of its member countries in all fields.
