Gazprom purchased 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan

The largest energy company of Russia Gazprom bought about 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan in 2022 in accordance with a previously concluded bilateral agreement. “TASS” agency reported about this on Thursday, referring to the interview with Alexander Blokhin, the Russian ambassador to Turkmenistan.

Ambassador also said that Russia and Turkmenistan are discussing cooperation on the creation of underground facilities for gas storage.

Russia’s Gazprom company bought 10.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan in 2021.
