A young girl from Turkmenistan for the first time will participate in a joint UNESCO & Dior project.
Women@Dior is a unique women’s leadership and sustainable education program. As part of this project, the most outstanding young ladies from the best schools of business, engineering, art and fashion from 58 countries are selected for a year of training and mentoring. Previously, no one from Turkmenistan participated in this program, and Selbi Rejepova was the first to succeed. S.Rejepova is a 4th year student of the international Almaty University KIMEP with 100% scholarship from CAUS scholarship program. In addition, the promising girl was an active member of the “Tree huggers” student environmental community, organized the “Open House Day” more than once, and also worked on the creation of a university radio within KIMEP.
Together with the winner girl from Kazakhstan Akbiyeva Bagdat, Selbi is selected to present her large-scale project on quality education and gender equality at the UNESCO conference in Paris. “I am very pleased to know that my idea was heard and taken into account, as this is really what my heart lies in. This project will be presented and implemented by me in the near future. I want to add that this is not the only project that I am working on to make my personal contribution to the development of people’s life!”, Selbi shared with us.
By continuing making improvements in that regard and remaining positive in everything, young woman shows with her personal experience that nothing is impossible, and thereby becomes a vivid example for her generation to develop leadership qualities in all endeavors. The editors of InAshgabat congratulate Selbi Rejepova on her victory in the Women@Dior international program and wish her great success in the future!
