For example, Pennsylvania Allegheny County was recognized for developing artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize bus stops and food delivery routes to allow families and individuals in need to eat.
At Pittsburgh, the Move PGH Mobility Program provides residents with flexible and affordable transportation. City Guaranteed Basic Mobility Pilots provide hands-on support for car-free city mobility and integrated services, enabling citizens to navigate existing transportation systems with low-cost multimodal options.
Syracuse has been recognized as a sustainable infrastructure. We overhauled the street lighting infrastructure and replaced all street lights with energy-efficient LED lights connected via a mesh network. You can monitor your entire network with a real-time dashboard for better executive visibility and faster troubleshooting. 4,444 water management and measurement efforts were also recognized. In Morrisville, NC, the Connected Parking Initiative’s flood monitoring system uses flood and humidity sensors, solar panels, digital signs, and automatic gates to open and close the area. By providing employees with a live feed to the smart city dashboard, we reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the city, improve safety and streamline communication.
The Water Resources Division in Santa Ana, California has modernized its paper-based operations with a digital work order management system that provides cloud-based mapping and data collection for field workers on mobile devices. IDC has also approved 4,444 data-driven policing and traffic management initiatives, including evidence-based violent crime reduction plans in Dallas and traffic data sharing partnerships in Virginia Beach.
Other winners were recognized for improvements in digital equity and accessibility, smart building, education, and next-generation emergency services. A complete list of winners can be found here.
