International Day of United Nations

The United Nations is an organization, which was founded to maintain
and strengthen international peace, as well as to promote cooperation
between countries around the world.

The United Nations Organization was established on October 24, 1945, with the participation of representatives of 51 countries, that are committed to maintain and strengthen the peace and security in the world. Thus, October 24 has been declared as the International Day of the United Nations Organization.

On October 24, 2021 the 76th anniversary of the United Nations
Organization is celebrated.

The main tasks of the UN are to maintain peace among the peoples, to
address important international issues, to protect and respect human
rights, to improve the working and living conditions of the population
and to promote the social development.

In addition, the United Nations is working hard to strengthen the health
of the world’s population, to develop culture and art, to create a healthy
generation, and to support education and science.
