To be fit and healthy you need to be physically active. Regular physical activity can help protect you from serious diseases such as obesity, heart disease, cancer, mental illness, diabetes and arthritis. Riding your bicycle regularly is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also funny, cheap and good for the environment. We need to know and remember benefits of cycling all the time. Cycling improves mental well-being, it also strengthen our immune system, promotes weight loss, builds muscle.
In 2018 the United Nations declared 3 June as World Bicycle Day. World Bicycle Day is chance for people around the globe to pay tribute to the bicycle and the many benefits it brings to society. This day people around the globe understand the benefits of cycling and try to share it with others, even governments make some activities that makes this day unforgettable. There are some clubs that teach biking to the kids who can’t bike. We can even find elders who was afraid of biking but with the help of clubs such as they learn how to ride. In my humble of opinion I can say that riding a bike can make us much attentive too. We ride a bike while we are going somewhere, we can pay much attention to the nature and everything that surround us, we can breath fresh air rather than to be in the car like in the box.
As one of the countries that celebrate this day can be a great example Turkmenistan. Our Esteemed President pays much attention in sport and we celebrate holidays such as ‘’ World Bicycle Day’’ and other holidays that are connected with sport with great honor and much interesting activities. In our country in honor of the holiday, a mass bicycle ride takes place in the Turkmen capital and also in all other regions. This holiday is celebrated not only in Turkmenistan but also Embassies of Turkmenistan abroad organizes bike riding activities. It shows again that Turkmen people how pay attention in sport. We do not only make activities in our country but also we try to keep doing all of it in others countries, and it helps us to be friendly with others more than we were.
