On June 28, a solemn event was held at KIMEP University (former Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research), dedicated to the arrival of students from Hong Kong came to Almaty with introduction tour. Students from Turkmenistan took an active part in this celebration. The purpose of this event was the cultural interchange, the presentation of cultural features and traditions of the Central Asian people. The representatives of each country showed their presentations, and the performance of the Turkmen students on the improvised stage of the KIMEP campus was the highlight of the event.
The Turkmen students, inspired by the success of their native country in all spheres of life, enthusiastically told Hong Kong students about the white marble pearl of Central Asia – the capital Ashgabat. They also spoke about the hot, but fascinating Garagum desert, the spectacular place Darvaza, Novruz Bayram celebrations, national costumes, food, etc. Immediately after the presentation, a familiar picture appeared on the big screen – the happy faces of the Turkmen boys and girls circled in the dance of Kusht-depdi, which is an integral part of the national holiday and the presentation of Turkmen art abroad, reflects a symbiosis of historical traditions and spiritual experience. The main purpose of this presentation was not just to tell and show, but also to introduce representatives of other cultures to the pride of the Turkmen people. Students from different countries actively tried to repeat deft and hilarious movements, circling in the dance and having fun under the motives of Turkmen national music. Students of all nationalities were united by a community of cultures, which can be considered as a positive moment for our country. And, of course, no such event would have been so without the participation of Turkmen students, who are on the base of the educational reforms of Türkmenistan can study in any University in a world, Kazakhstan inclusive and, who are actively supported in Almaty by the representatives of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
